Autumn is a special time in Lapland. Then the air is wonderfully fresh and it's really nice to go out into nature. One of my favorite places is definitely Kuertunturi in Äkäslompolo. It's relatively easy to get up there, but still enough of a challenge to get your heart rate up.

On an autumn and relatively gray day, I once again decided to climb Kueri. The autumn fog can surprise a fell hiker and, in the best case, lead him astray. Fortunately, however, Kuer is so familiar that I knew how to walk without getting lost.

Fog is an interesting phenomenon in terms of photography. Fog and humidity make walking a bit of a challenge, making the environment look hazy and the stones slippery.

Fog limits visibility, but sometimes for the photographer, it is a rewarding situation to capture small and limited beauty. This sight on top of the fell made me dig out the camera and hide the view in my memories as well. A rowan tree dressed in brilliant autumn colors welcomed me in the fell.

Once again, the climb was rewarded with a beautiful picture and tasty snacks. This beautiful canvas has already ended up on the wall of many cabins to delight the visitors of the cabin and remind them of the fall snow trip to Lapland and Kuertunturi.
