One of the signs of spring in my home village are the reindeer herds coming to the surface of the village. These camouflaged males roam the streets of the tourist-free village and look for food wherever they can find it.

The rare warm spring air brought these owls to lie down on the beach next to the old shed. The atmosphere of the picture is like a hundred years ago, a beach shed with red mud and a lake in the background. The evening sun illuminates the landscape, which is still covered with fireweed.

The Lainio fell in the background adds to the typical Lappish atmosphere.

The reindeer have eaten the early growth of the early spring and are resting quietly. They were not disturbed by the cameraman, who got quite close.
